Common name: Bugit

Bugits have bugits that byte'em, ad infinitum.

An example of the Droste effect, but with alternating positive and negative images. Orthologia twist is an animated version of these bugits.

The geometry of this creature is briefly described in Thue-Morse in rabbit land.

Download for high resolution version.

Other species named trispiralis (not a complete list):
Gemmula trispiralis (a snail, no common name)
Pachyschistochila trispiralis (a liverwort, no common name)
Hydrorissoia trispiralis (a shelled mollusc, no common name)

"... think metaphorically"
Makes me think of Escher...always a good thing.
